New Blog for EETT Grant News in Putnam

New Beta PB Wiki looks good.  If you would like to post stories let me know.I'll share my space.

Must have links

I can't get enough of all things Google - They've moved the link for this page so it's good to know it's still out there. I had to look hard.

Google Tools - http://www.google.com/intl/en/options/

New fav - 1-800-goog-411- never pay for directory assistance again. And it uses voice recognition so it's hands free. And they will send you a text message with the infomation and a map. Can you beat it?!

Here is a writing lesson on their Google for Educators page. Students work on revising their writing with their peers using Google doc .

This is a great way to start using web 2.0 resources in your classroom.

itunes.usf.edu- I am in love with Luis Perez. I can learn so much from his Tech Ease movies. Luis rocks I tell you. You can find Tech Ease by clicking on the University of South Florida in itunes u in the itunes store now too. How convenient.

I can't spell so I need this link frequently. Love the sound files for students too.

Some useful tools...my delicious link http://del.icio.us/marsha.cruce

I am never without reading material because when I run across something that I don't have time to read I just tag it in del.icio.us for later. I'm still a novice user when it comes to using the organizational tools it offers but I saw a video on that at i-tunes U. I'll probably organize my links right after I clean out my inbox :)

Wish we could tweet at work but alas it is blocked by our filter... and rightly so because no one monitors content, but once you are in and select the people you want to follow it's an education within itself and I've never seen any inappropriate content logged in as me because I only follow educators. You should try it from home. Be sure to add me to you following. My username is mcruce.

Google docs, spreadsheets and now presentations...life just got easier

epals announced free blogs and email for students and educators last week. I haven't had time to investigate thoroughly but the demos look good. Gaggle also has free blogs and email for students. Both advertise safe environments for students. Gaggle's design and their ads are a bit of a put off for me but it's free. And I do appreciate free!
